2024 Sydney Championships

We're ecstatic to announce that the Australian Armwrestling Federation will host the Oceanic Qualifiers for the prestigious East v West event, thanks to a special nod from armwrestling legend himself Engin Terzi. This is your chance to compete in 5 men's and 2 women's weight classes, with top performers earning a spot in the Finals taking place in Turkey mid-July.

With competitors coming from across Australia and New Zealand, this promises to be one of the biggest events of the year. In order to manage the number of matches and classes, we will host the event over 2 days at the Sydney Showgrounds with the class breakdown below.

DAY 1 - SATURDAY 20TH APRIL

Men's 75kg, 95kg, 105kg+ (both arms)

DAY 2 - SUNDAY 21ST APRIL

Men's 85kg and 105kg (both arms)
Women's 70kg and 70kg+ (both arms)

24HR WEIGH-INS
We will be conducting 24hr weigh-ins for this event. If you are competing on Saturday, you will weigh-on on Friday 19th. And if you are competing on Sunday you will weigh-in at the venue on the Saturday 20th.
