Canadian badass Matt Mask is heading down under

Article by Jason Bishara
It’s that time of year again folks. The Arnold Classic looms over the horizon and with it comes a host of exciting moments in Australian arm wrestling. The Arnold Classic is one of the most explosive events of the year, and even more so this year with Canadian badass Matt Mask making a special guest appearance.

A 10 year veteran in the sport of armwrestling and a multi podium finishing WAL contender, Mr. Mask has plenty of experience and knowledge to share with us. He’s faced many legends of the sport and has chalked up pins against some of the best in the business, including the legend John Brzenk. Matt is an explosive and powerful puller, and his visit provides another key international marker for us to test our collective skills and gauge our progress.

In similar fashion to last year's guest Devon Larratt, Matt will be head referee on our main table during the Arnold Classic and will be taking on anyone who is brave or stupid enough to step on the other side of the table with him.

Matt will also be the host of several engaging and hands on seminars across the country. For anyone who takes their armwrestling seriously, these seminars are not to be missed. As anyone who has attended them in the past will testify, they are essential for anyone seeking to further their skills and add some serious knowledge to their game. A true champion never becomes complacent and is always seeking to learn something new, so if you haven't organised a spot yet, get on it quick!

In addition to our special guest Matt Mask, Arnold's will also host an array of Super Matches. 3 tables will be running simultaneously, a first for an Australian armwrestling event, and will no doubt provide the framework for the smoothest and most efficient day of armwrestling Australia has ever seen. Competitors from all states, including competitors from New Zealand and South East Asia, will all be battling it out for international bragging rights and individual glory.

So get ready ladies and gentleman, and let's make sure when Mr. Mask goes home, he talks about the great armwrestling beast that is growing down under.
