Sarah Backman 2015 Australian Tour

IMPORTANT UPDATE: It has recently been brought to our attention that due to a visa problems Sarah will not be able to make her trip to the Arnold Classic and fulfil her seminars in Australia. Sarah has personally expressed her deepest regrets and remains confident that she can visit Australia in the near future. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.

Arm wrestling truly is a boundary dissolving sport. The table does not care who you are or where you’ve come from. It does not care about the labels by which we define ourselves or the stereotypes by which we are defined by others. The table only cares about one thing – domination. Who is on the right end of that dominance, she cares not.
From vegans to milkmen, the Australian Armwrestling Federation is a showcase of characters and individuals that defy the norm and break expectations. It is one of the many features that make the sport of arm wrestling such a beautiful and pluralistic platform to engage in one of the most primal acts of one on one competition.
And it is under this banner of shattering misconceptions that the Australian Armwrestling Federation would like to announce that Sarah Backman is booked to hit our shores on March 12th, 2015. Do not be deceived by this 5′ 7” Swedish bombshell. Sarah has been arm wrestling since the age of 14 and holds eight world titles, eight European titles, and 11 Swedish titles. Not only is she a weapon on the table, but her strength in the gym is phenomenal, with lifts that would put many of us to shame:

Bench: 102kg/ 225lb

Squat: 142kg/ 315lb

Deadlift: 160kg/ 355lb

Gents, if you’re courageous enough to face off against this young woman on the table, do yourself a favour and make sure your egos are in check, because it’s very likely she will be sending you away with your tails between your legs, forcing you to rethink everything you know about strength and the many forms it can come in.
"You don’t have to look like a man or behave like a man just because you’re strong.” – Sarah Backman

Australian Schedule

Over the course of her 10 day visit, Sarah will be making a number of appearances, including the Arnold’s classic in Melbourne on Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th of March. You will find her stationed at the AAF booth, but she will also be making a guest appearance at the Bulk Nutrients stand where she is set to duke it out in a “battle of the sexes” challenge. Proving to us once and for all that size (and sex) doesn’t matter.
In addition, she will also be holding a number of training seminars in both Melbourne (March 17th) and Brisbane (March 21st). These will be intensive 4 hour seminars in which Sarah will be sharing and teaching all that she is has learned over her extensive career as a professional and world champion arm wrestler. You don’t want to miss out on a great opportunity to learn from the best, so get your tickets early, and let’s show another international guest that arm wrestlers down under mean serious business.

WANT TO ATTEND A SEMINAR?

Information will be available in early 2015 about ticket prices and locations for the seminars. If you have any questions, please email us at admin©armwrestlingaustralia•com or call 0439 881 487.
